Reduce time-to-market and improve accuracy.

One of the most difficult parts of managing design and development is controlling change. It's where the greatest potential for error is - but also the greatest opportunity for improvement. Datastay for PLM allows you to structure how changes are performed and automatically keeps everyone informed - as things happen.  You'll not only implement changes more accurately, but your team will have the visibility they need to work quicker and make better decisions.

Easily manage engineering changes and keep everyone informed

Easily manage engineering changes and keep everyone informed

Datastay gives you control over engineering changes with a powerful change order system. Your team members are able to easily generate change orders and specify the affected items. The system will automatically route it to the appropriate users for sign-off, immediately notify all users as they occur  and automatically revision the affected items upon its acceptance. You have tremendous control over what information needs to be collected on the way and how the routing occurs.

Slash engineering change cycle time

To make change execution even faster, Datastay for PLM allows you to apply various business rules to your change orders. This ensures that all appropriate change details and sign-offs are collected easily and on time. You can even easily create rules that automatically fast-track changes or add users to the control board.

Achieve full revision visibility and control

Every controlled item in Datastay has a revision and a status. Assignment of revision numbers is automatically handled by Datastay. Once Datastay assigns a new revision, that item is locked to avoid any unauthorized changes to it and historical revisions of the item are archived. Only the uncontrolled attributes of an item, items unlocked by a change order, or those items that are not yet in change control can be edited. If required, you can still refer to any archived version of an item and use it as a starting point for a new line of development.
