Datastay Config extends Datastay PDM and allows manufacturers to centrally control complex bill-of-material information. Individuals across the extended enterprise can collaboratively manage product development through various lifecycle phases, while always having visibility and access to bill-of-material changes in real-time. This enables engineers to work collaboratively, and also share key information with other stakeholders to solicit their input earlier to better meet customer expectations.

Users are able to quickly navigate through product structures presented in nested or flat views to better understand the effects of any changes they make. They can also quickly and easily determine what those changes affect using “Where Used” searches. This leads to more informed decisions based on a comprehensive understanding of impact. Furthermore, when changes are performed, redlining and compare tools, and extensive change logging, give users the ability to better understand not only what was changed, but why.
