Datastay Docs can be used in conjunction with Datastay PDM or independently. It provides a central repository for electronic files which are version controlled through a check-in check-out model. This allows users to share and modify documents without the possibility of creating duplicate versions or inconsistent updates. Files are automatically versioned when checked in and historical versions are always available to users for referral, reuse, or reversion. Users can maintain details about each document, create various types of relationships across documents, and can even search for text strings within several document types.
