| Platform Services |
The Datastay platform services automate many of the processes that
facilitate effective management of the product lifecycle. |
| Logging Service |
The Datastay Logging Service records every action performed within the
Datastay environment in one of two categories. A User Event occurs when
users perform specific actions such as logging in, creating a new item,
completing a workflow step, checking in a file or so forth, and a Change
Event occurs when product information is modified. |
Users can always review change logs to determine who has made specific
changes, and when and what was changed. They can also find out what the
information looked like before it was changed. This provides users tremendous
insight into the use of the system and the history of products while automatically
generating the audit logs required to support quality adherence requirements. |
| Notification Service |
The Datastay Notification Service generates two specific types of notification
which are automatically emailed to users. Change Reports are lists of
changes sent to users at a predetermined interval (hourly, daily, weekly,
monthly). Users determine what they want their personal change reports
to contain and they are then sure they kept informed of all relevant changes
during that that interval |
Event Notifications are automatically sent to users when a workflow event
occurs. Unlike Change Reports, Event Notifications are not subscribed
to. They are sent in real-time as soon as a triggering event has occured.
This keeps users constantly informed of relevant workflow events, giving
them realtime insight into processes they are involved in, and and proactively
alerting them when something requires their attention. |
